The Nutcracker
Grand International Classic Ballet

The international troupe Grand International Classic Ballet presents the famous ballet fairy tale for adults and children, The Nutcracker!

Ballet in two acts

Music: Pyotr Tchaikovsky

Choreography: Sergei Bobrov

Grand International Classic Ballet is a constellation of first-class artists from England, Italy, France, and Spain, who have already won the hearts of half the world with their art.

The only student of legendary ballet master Yuri Grigorovich, Sergei Bobrov is a choreographer whose ballets have won numerous awards and are successfully performed in many countries. In his version of The Nutcracker, he carefully preserves the charming characters from the Land of Sweets, as well as the main dramatic moments, and experiments with the first act. A new interpretation of the ballet masterpiece set to the brilliant music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

Hoffmann's fairy tale “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” came to the ballet stage back in the 19th century, when Marius Petipa based his libretto on Alexandre Dumas's adaptation. However, it is only in Sergei Bobrov's neoclassical production that the audience has the opportunity not only to empathize with the brave Nutcracker's struggle, but also to understand why such a doll suddenly appeared in the first place. Luxurious costumes and amazing video scenery create expressive scenes, helping to immerse oneself in the fairy-tale atmosphere of each episode.

The Nutcracker captivates everyone from three to a hundred years old! Young children see their main childhood dream come to life on stage—a kingdom of sweets. Older children understand that their parents will not always come to their aid and that they must fight evil themselves. Teenagers fall in love with the romantic storyline; it is no coincidence that there have been so many attempts to make it the main focus. And for adults, this ballet magically opens the door to the enchanted world of childhood, which seems to have disappeared forever.

Tchaikovsky composed wonderful, deeply meaningful music for this fairy tale. He created a symphonic poem about childhood, about the maturing of the soul, about the wonders of Christmas night, about the battle between light and darkness, about pure love. Airy snowflakes, scary and funny rats, virtuosically dancing dolls — all together immerse the viewer in the atmosphere of a bright holiday.
